The Duck Creek Ice Cave is a 60 foot x 40 foot with a 15 foot high ceiling one room cave. The cave is easily accessible as you climb down to the cool open room. The sign at the entrance of the cave states the Ice Cave was created by by water eroding the limestone away creating the large room. As the the room became deeper the earth keeps the cold air at the bottom while the entrance being higher than the floor keeps the warm air at bay. Thus as water enters the cave it can keep it frozen for most of the year.
